Activities for May

May brings along various celebrations: the Haitian Heritage Month , Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day and Travel Day...

And testing will be finally over! So buckle up for loads of fun activities!

For Mother's Day we will create 3D flower cards to show our love for all the mothers.

To celebrate Haitian Heritage Month and Cinco de Mayo we will create our own versions of Haitian and Mexican artifacts using the following folded activity.

For our International Day festivities the preceding folded  artifacts can be used as displays. You may also use this link to learn about PowerPoint to present your group's visiting place: PowerPoint Basics

Finally we will finish our Spring Designs and Folded Stories projects using the previous months' lessons.

Fifth graders: one of your last reading assignments involves the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  The Met is one of the most prestigious art museum in the world.  Enjoy a tour using this link: http://www.metmuseum.org/

Good bye fifth graders! Keep on using this site for art projects. Come back to visit and show your good grades.  Good luck and make us proud! Woohooo!!! Summer break is almost here!!!
