Activities for December



December is here!  Happy Holidays!  We are going to use multi media, drawing and painting skills to create personalized holiday cards.  While working on our cards we will be learning about the different way people celebrate the Holidays around the world. Read on for the details...

Create a Holiday Card   


Materials

·Watercolor Paper 5 ½” X7 ½ ”
·Red Construction paper 9”X12”
·Pencil Glue sticks
·Black Sharpie
·Watercolor Pencils
·Watercolor Markers
·Glue sticks

Steps
1) Draw a holiday scene on watercolor paper
2) Color using watercolor pencils, markers and a black sharpie
3) Glue the artwork on a folded red paper

Activities for November




Hello November! During this month we are going to integrate one of the principles of design in our art work: Symmetry. We are going to celebrate Native American Heritage Month and Thanksgiving by creating our own family totem poles.  We are also going to work on more poster contests.
