Activities for March 2018


March is bringing a series of fun filled activities with the celebration of Women's History Month, Dr. Seuss' Birthday,  St. Patrick Day,  the beginning of Spring, Spring Break and the Youth Fair!  You will find listed below the art activities related to each of these events.
For Women's History Month we will work on scenes inspired by the famous African American quilt maker Faith Ringgold.

Design a scene involving a famous woman in history


Materials

· Black or White Paper 9"X12"
· Pencil
· Art Stix


Steps
1) Sketch your scene

On Friday March 2nd we are going to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday! On this occasion you will have the option to draw one of Dr. Seuss' characters. Click HERE for tutorial videos on Dr. Seuss' Characters.


St. Patrick's Day is on Saturday March 17 ! You are going to make your own Shamrock! 



Spring starts on Tuesday March 20! To celebrate that day you may doodle our yown Spring design inspired by the following video.



Spring Break: March 23 - 30



Finally you will get to visit the Youth Fair from March 15 to April 8 to view your own students' exhibits!
