1) Design a holiday scene with a white crayon on a white paper
2) Use art sticks or watercolor pencils to color
3) Add details using watercolor markers and a black sharpie

4) Glue the artwork on a folded red, green or blue paper

Activities for October 2019

Hello October, hello fall! We are right in the middle of Hurricane Season which spans from June 1st to November 30th of each year. We will be exploring how we can unite art and nature in a STEAM project. We will also work on the Red Ribbon Week and Walk Safe Poster Contests. The Doodle for Google Contest is optional. Introduction
Hurricane Dorian was one of the most powerful in recorded history, causing billions of dollars in damage and resulting in hundreds of fatalities. This served as a reminder that hurricane preparedness is essential when living in Florida.
A STEAM project will be used as a tool in disaster preparedness by graphically representing the force of hurricane winds on a house or other structure.
